Iftar in Berkeley

Iftar will be provided after sunset everyday at Berkeley Masjid throughout the month of Ramadan iA! 

The Berkeley Masjid is still looking for volunteers to help with the setting up and planning of Iftars. If you would like to volunteer please contact Brother Ali Husain by phone or email:

The Islamic Center will be having Iftars and a Speech every Friday, Saturday,Sunday for the first two weeks of Ramadan. The Center will have a Program during the last ten nights of Ramadan, Laylatul Qadr programs are all night long. Iftars will begin at Jafari time.  
 
Taraweeh in Berkeley
Taraweeh will be held every night of Ramadan at the Berkeley Masjid.  The Iqama will begin promptly after the Adhan, and Taraweeh will begin after sunnah. Taraweeh will be 8 Rakah every night and will be led by Brother Ali Al-Khairi during the weekdays and by Shaykh Mohammad from MCA - Santa Clara during the weekends. 
 
The MSA will be providing shuttle rides home because of the late finishing hour of Taraweeh. If any sisters need a ride home after Taraweeh, please send a text message to Sister Somaya Abdelgany  
 

Lessons from the Quran and Sunnah

The MSA will be having a Weekly Halaqa - "Lessons from the Quran and Sunnah" throughout the Month of Ramadan. The Halaqa will be led by Brother Adel Elsohly every Saturday at 6pm after Asr Prayer at the Berkeley Masjid.
Brothers and Sisters are both welcome!! 
Ramadan Donation Drive for the MSA
As Ramadan falls upon us and as we embark into the new school year, we ask for your generous support in sustaining our various programs and projects that serve over 150 Muslim students who attend Berkeley every year. We will be bringing students together for events during Ramadan, as well as for gatherings all year long after Ramadan. Any support you can give is greatly appreciated.
